About Me
I’m a 30 something living in the metropolis of Burlington, Vermont. Grew up on edge of the Adirondack’s and set packing for six years to the beauty of Montana after high school, to care-free NYC for a couple of years (yeah I didn’t last long – I’m not a lifer) and now in Vermont and settling some roots down.
I’m just starting to hike the ADK High Peaks again and want to document that journey. Will I make it to hitting all 46 of them. Not sure. I’ll probably also post on other things. We’ll see how it goes.

Mud Madness: Mt Marshall
With daylight hours running short and few hiking days left I decided to tackle a single mountain and get another “trail-less” peak off my list. Mount Marshall probably isn’t one of my favorite hikes – but still enjoyed some nice lake … Continue reading

Dial and Nippletop: Sun at last!
I’ve had a rough run of it the past couple of hikes with cloudy, over-cast hikes. Unless, you can be flexible and hike mid-week depending how the weather is shaping up that is just how it goes. But the last … Continue reading

Across the lake: Lake Placid Winter Style
The winter does not bring many trips home, even less now that the camp is closed until Spring. So Mom and I decided to make a weekend rendezvous in Lake Placid for a belated bday celebration. I started the day off … Continue reading

ADK 2013 Wrap Up: 8 weeks, 6 Mountains
After 5+ years enjoying all that the Green Mountains have to offer, I felt the itch this summer to start tackling the Adirondack High Peaks. My Grandfather, Uncle Bob and Uncle Rich all spent many a summer hiking all 46 … Continue reading

Colvin and Blake. Done and Done.
A three-day long weekend in October equaled another great chance to check two more mountains off my list: Colvin and Blake. I loved Colvin – beautiful Gill Brook Trail does not disappoint. Several hard scrambles but nothing too bad. And … Continue reading

On Deck: Colvin and Blake
A long weekend coming up brings another great opportunity to get another hike in and check a couple mountains off the list. It’ll be a long day totaling about 13.6 miles (round trip), and take about 10 hours. Though about … Continue reading
