About Me
I’m a 30 something living in the metropolis of Burlington, Vermont. Grew up on edge of the Adirondack’s and set packing for six years to the beauty of Montana after high school, to care-free NYC for a couple of years (yeah I didn’t last long – I’m not a lifer) and now in Vermont and settling some roots down.
I’m just starting to hike the ADK High Peaks again and want to document that journey. Will I make it to hitting all 46 of them. Not sure. I’ll probably also post on other things. We’ll see how it goes.

Sky’s the Limit: Gray and Skylight
With only six mountains left to finish off my ADK46 there aren’t many “easy” or “short” hikes left. I started the first hike of my last season with a ~20+ mile hike up Mt. Skylight and Gray Peak. The reports of … Continue reading

Sky is the Limit: Wright, Algonquin, Boundary & Iroquois
After three weeks since my last hike I was itching to get out on the trail. But really I can’t complain. In those three weeks I enjoyed two weekends of sailing lessons. Yep. I’m now official for low wind up … Continue reading

Marcy is Number One
One of the best views in the ADKs and at 5,344′ is the highest in New York. I’ll have to take peeps word on the view since I enjoyed beautiful view of clouds. Oh joy. But it was worth it. … Continue reading

Mud, Swamps, Bogs and Rain: Panther Peak and Couchsachraga
As a solo day hiker there are only so many weekends and only so many summits I can ascent in one day. What to do? Renting a cabin in the ADKs to use as a basecamp and save on the … Continue reading

Street and Nye: Mud, Rivers and Lesson Learned
A week after climbing Dix I was feeling the hiking itch in full swing. With some rain and cloud cover in the forecast, a couple viewless peaks were the perfect remedy. Nye and Street are not known for having the epic views that … Continue reading

Epic: Mount Colden, Avalanche Pass & Fall Foliage
Nothing says hiking the ADKs like Fall Foliage Season. It is prime time so I decided to do an epic 16 mile loop from ADK Loj, through Avalanche Pass, past Lake Colden, up “Misery Mile” to Mount Colden Summit and down … Continue reading
