Hello. And Welcome.

Phew. Ok now that I have an url and spent the long arduous hour of setting this up, something to write about. Hmmm…

So what to expect here. Not sure yet. I basically set this up as a way of documenting some of my fun adventures but the big inspiration is that I’m beginning to hike the ADK (for you non-NYers that stands for Adirondack. It’s big. It’s awesome).

Don’t get me wrong. I love, love Vermont.  But having grown up just on the edge of the ADKs, spent many a day hiking, canoeing, exploring, etc. I’ve been reconnecting these past couple of years. See, here’s some pictures of how great the Green Mountain State is too.

I’d like to start working on climbing all 46 of the Adirondack High Peaks. Will I make it. Not sure. How long will it take. Years (probably many of them). I hiked a bunch before leaving for college, but to be “official” you need to keep track and, well, that didn’t happen. So if I’m going to start from scratch I may as well as blog about it. Two of my Uncles and my Grandfather are ADK46ers. When I realized that I’m basically as close to the high peaks from where I grew up as I am here in Vermont I felt inspired to start diving in. There are some very long, trail-less hikes (with no view) so the big question is will I feel the drive to complete those. Time will tell.

Some other topics that I’m likely to chat about: horsebackriding, discgolf, how great Lake Champlain is, hiking excursions here in Vermont, beer (particularly micro-brew), cheese, and probably some random sarcastic e-card from time to time.

Until next time.
